I'm a sophomore at UCLA studying Computer Science under the School of Engineering. Primary experience in building games and digital experiences.
Being an HSF Scholar since my junior year in high school has allowed me to call HSF a home away from home. I grew up in an Asian conclave known as Little Saigon, where less than 10% of students are Hispanics, so having this representation keeps me motivated and passionate to see Latinx success. Thus in 2022, I became a year-long mentor to 5 high school seniors, teaching them about the college application process, scholarships, and leadership.
OCUW was my first introduction to the professional workforce. During their summer-long virtual employability academy in 2020, I learned how to create my own website, design my own business card, use Excel, and tactfully answer interview questions. Now, I join their organization as an alumni, giving back to my Orange County community by preparing high school students for college.
